In a landmark move, the Government of Maharashtra has established a strategic partnership with NSDC International, a 100% subsidiary of NSDC under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, to set up the NSDC International Skill Center in Pune. This state-of-the-art center aims to create a globally benchmarked quality skills ecosystem in Maharashtra, empowering the state’s youth with the necessary skills and competencies to excel internationally. It will offer global job opportunities in sectors such as Hospitality, Healthcare, Beauty & Wellness, IT, Construction, and more.
This pioneering initiative underscores the commitment of the Government of Maharashtra and NSDC International to shape the future of skill development in the state and empower its youth to contribute towards making India the Skill Capital of the World. The MoU was signed by Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, and Mr. Pramod Naik, Director of MSBTE, in the presence of Shri Eknath Shinde, Honble CM, Govt of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Honble Deputy CM, Govt of Maharashtra, Shri Ajit Pawar, Honble Deputy CM, Govt of Maharashtra and Shri Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher and Technical education, Govt of Maharashtra. The event was also attended by Shri Vikas Rastogi, Principal Secretary of Higher Education Maharashtra; Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Adviser of NSDC and NSDC International; Mr. Nitin Kapoor, VP of NSDC; Mr. Mohammad Kalam; and Mr. Vishwesh Kulkarni, CEO of YashwaI Group, among others.
